| This case challenge presents a patient with a bone lesion that appeared following the extraction of a mandibular molar. |
Case Summary
A 28-year old male patient presented for his routine dental health visit which included the above bitewing radiograph. The radiograph was taken as a follow-up nine months after the extraction of the mandibular second molar by the oral surgeon. The patient had no discomfort and was unaware of any dental problem.
